Not Just Skin-Deep - Your Guide To Healthy Skin

There’s nothing worse than feeling like your skin is dry and dull. We all want healthy, vibrant skin, but there are so many products out there; how do you know where to start? Here are some tips to help you keep your skin healthy:
1. Hydration, hydration, hydration! – Drink at least 2 litres of water a day. This will help prevent blemishes and keep your skin supple.
2. Cleansing – Keeping your skin clean allows the cells to renew themselves faster and helps with unclogging pores. Find a face cleanser that suits your skin type, and use a gentle soap on the rest of your body. QV bodywash is recommended by dermatologists, as it cleanses the skin without stripping it of moisture.
3. Moisturising – Even if you have oily skin, moisturiser is essential. You can find different moisturisers for different skin types (normal, dry, combination, oily), and make sure you apply daily after cleansing.
4. Healthy eating – Not only is this good for your overall health and wellbeing, your skin will thank you for it! Add red berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries etc) into your diet as a good source of vitamin C and cyanidin – these help prevent ageing and excess oil. Eat lots of veggies too!
5. Sun protection – UV rays are one of the most damaging risks to your skin. Too much sun can cause wrinkles, blemishes, premature ageing and skin cancer. Find yourself a daily sunscreen that suits your skin type.
