Israel banned foreigners from entering the country for two weeks and the U.K. tightened rules for its citizens, seeking to check the advance of a new coronavirus strain moving across the region.

As more countries placed travel bans on southern Africa early Saturday for fear of a new and possibly more dangerous variant of the coronavirus, the passengers on two flights from South Africa found themselves caught in a pandemic nightmare. 

Kevon Clarke, 19, is wanted for first-degree murder and several other charges connected to Thursday night's shooting, per the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office

"Our preliminary investigation reveals mistakes were made and safety precautions overlooked," Nathan Valencia's family told KLAS through their lawyers.

"We are asking anyone considering such action to cease and desist," Senators Tammy Duckworth, a Democrat, and Ron Johnson, a Republican, said in a joint statement.
