A potential peace deal with Iran is nearing finalization, aiming to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. However, President Trump may withdraw if Iran's commitments do not meet his conditions.
The negotiation process is progressing slowly due to the state of Tehran's government. A senior administration official indicated that the final deal might take up to a week to reach Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who is reportedly in hiding and possibly injured since the war began.
The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the cessation of the American blockade of Iranian ports are expected to take approximately seven days.
The United States will only lift sanctions once Iran surrenders its enriched uranium.
