Cappadocia, Turkey, is a popular travel destination, and it’s not hard to see why! Located in the centre of Turkey, the region is known for it’s cultural and historical significance. • Hot Air Balloons – A breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experience, hot air ballooning in Cappadocia is not to be missed. Soar the skies and marvel at the rugged landscape stretching to the horizon while you float 300 metres above the ground.

• Derinkuyu Underground City – Hidden under the beautiful scenery of Cappadocia is a world of tunnels and cities ready to explore. The ancient inhabitants of the land carved these intricate shelters into the limestone in times of danger, and many of the structures are still intact today. Wind your way through bedrooms, kitchens, storerooms and even churches as you learn how these ancient people lived.

• Göreme Open Air Museum – One of the regions most visited attractions, the open air museum features an array of different churches and ancient frescoes. It’s unlike any other in the world and is definitely worth a visit.

• Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley) – This is a great place to hike, and is home to a range of odd fairy chimney formations that are worth a look.
