This unscheduled landing occurred approximately three hours into the flight. The reason for the diversion was a medical emergency involving a passenger. Upon arrival in Munich, medical personnel were on standby to provide assistance. The passenger was met by emergency medical services and received the necessary care. Following the diversion and resolution of the medical situation, the flight was able to continue its journey to Toronto. The diversion resulted in a substantial delay for the 373 passengers and 16 crew members onboard. Etihad Airways has stated that the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew are their top priorities. The airline is working to minimize the disruption caused by this incident and to get passengers to their destination as soon as possible.
