Shred Paper For Free At Essex County Event: What To Know

Essex County is hosting a Paper Shredding Day event specifically for its residents to safely dispose of sensitive documents. This initiative promotes recycling and provides a convenient method for residents to protect their personal information.
The event is exclusively for Essex County residents.
It will be held at the Essex County Public Works Department, located at 99 West Bradford Avenue in Cedar Grove.
The operating hours are from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
All paper shredded at the event will be recycled.
There is no limit to the amount of paper residents can bring.
Plastic sheets, covers, and metal binders must be removed from paper prior to shredding.
Paper clips and staples are permitted and do not need to be removed.
Photographs, photo negatives, and film are not accepted.
Proof of residency is required for all participants.
Commercial businesses are not allowed to drop off materials.
The event is free of charge for residents.
