Our daily schedules are often incredibly busy; between work, socialising,
cleaning the house, shopping for groceries and exercising,
cleaning the interior of your car is probably the last thing on your mind. We’ve all been there.
Cleaning every nook and cranny of your car can seem like an arduous, time-consuming task. So to help you out, we’ve put together a little list of
cleaning hacks for your car:
1. Cleaning fabric seats – Fabric seats in cars tend to get grotty fairly quickly, particularly if you have kids! The best way to clean the seats quickly is to mix one cup of distilled vinegar, one cup of soda water and ¼ cup of dishwashing liquid. Combine these in a spray bottle, spray down the fabric then scrub with a dishwashing brush. This is both quick and effective.
2. Pet hair – Cats and dogs can shed like nobody’s business, and it tends to stubbornly stick to the seats and floors of your car. A simple fix for this is using a squeegee to scrape the hair into piles – this makes it easier to pick up.
3. Bugs on the front of the car – There’s nothing worse than those last couple of stubborn bugs that won’t come off the number plate when you go through the carwash! Our solution – use a dryer sheet to remove the bugs, as the texture of the paper can scrub off even the most stubborn mosquito!
4. Air conditioning vents – These get filled with dust and debris very easily, and they’re a chore to clean. Try using a small sponge brush (available at art stores) – it’ll help you reach those pesky crevices and hidey holes.
